Todd's Story

Life If you knew me before than you know me now. I am the same only older and I am going to college working on a BS so I can work in communications, more specifically film. I am also minoring in Theater. (No surprise there to those of you who know or knew me.) I don't really look much older (knock on wood) than I did right after high school. I am raising my 17-year-old daughter on my own and have been pretty much since she was born. She is the light of my life and I couldn't imagine life without her. Our life reminds me of the show "The Gilmore Girls" because of the relationship we have. Also, I have gotten back into acting and have performed at the Smith Theatre in Farmington Hills and with Pontiac Theater IV at the Barnes & Noble Theatre in West Bloomfield. I have begun to write and direct some short movies and am looking forward to developing a project that can be entered into film festivals across the country. I have also recently written a play loosely based on my daughter's experiences with her estranged mother. My life has taken many unexpected turns and I regret nothing. My experience has made me a happy father that is very down to earth and totally grounded. Anyway, I look forward to hearing from you! School I look back on high school with fondness. Of course I made many mistakes when I was there but that is what high school is supposed to be. A place to test out things and learn how t...Expand for more
o be the person you want to be. It did take me a while after leaving high school to really find the answers that most people find early on. I guess I was a late bloomer. But I have no regrets. I miss my friends from high school or maybe just the thought of those friends. We are all different now. I think I am different for the better. Only time will tell. I hope to hear from you. College I have been around from one side of the country to the other. I started off my post high school education at the Columbia School of Broadcasting in Hollywood California. After graduating from there I ended up joining the Navy. I know that probably sounds strange, especially if you knew me in High School. While in the Navy I graduated number one in my class in "A" school where I got my certificate to be a Yeoman. Later, the Navy sent me to Naval Legal Justice School where I again graduated number one in my class and received the Wilfred A. Hearn award for excellence. Once I left the Navy I attended San Diego City College for one semester then transferred to National University where I began my studies in education. Now I am back in Michigan working toward my new goal of working in communications, more specifically the film industry. I have completed an Associates in Liberal Arts Degree and am currently working toward a BS in Communications and Film with a minor in, what else, Theater at Eastern Michigan University.
