Tom's Story
Attended college in Kentucky. Met and married, Alice, a RN from Minnesota. Served U.S. Army time in Vietnam as a field artilleryman then later in Germany. After grad school was ordained and served as a pastor in Corpus Christi, TX. A few years later I was commissioned in the U.S. Navy ... a very fulfilling and never dull 24-year career as a chaplain for our Sailors and Marines. It was exciting to be stationed in London, Italy, Hawaii as well as going on frequent and challenging deployments for many years in response to world events aboard Navy ships and with Marine Corps infantry units around the world. Retired from the Navy in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii as a Captain then served as Pastor of two Presbyterian churches -- Sarasota, FL & Houston, TX.

enjoy traveling extensively and spending time with our three daughters who live in England, Germany, and in New Hampshire where we now reside. Staying fit by clearing mountain trails in New Hampshire and cross-country skiing. Serving as a volunteer at a VA medical center in nearby Vermont. Four of my six siblings live in Texas, so I try to visit the Lone Star State as often as possible.
It has been great to stay in contact through the decades with fellow Tiger Band members, particularly Luis Trevino and Juan Castillo. Greatly enjoyed our well-organized 50th MHS reunion in May, 2013. Our terrific MHS band director, Elmo Lopez, was our honored guest. A privilege to see Mr. Lopez again 50 years later. I'd love to hear from MHS classmates and read about their life experiences.
