Tom's Story
It has been an interesting run.
After law school I went to a large law firm in Chicago and then was in charge of M&A legal work for a Fortune 100 company. I served as special counsel to the Solicitor of Labor in several cases involving the Teamsters Pension Fund before moving to San Francisco to eventually become the general counsel for Levi Strauss where I worked for nearly 20 years.
I met and married my wife of 30 years, Ellen, who was trying to get a job with our Asia group and got me instead. We have two great daughters. I taught at...Expand for more
Stanford Law School for 6 years, founded a charter high school and had a ten year career with an investment advisory firm, Hall Capital. I retired in 2010 and spend my time puttering round financial matter for a couple of clients and my family, sailing and rowing on SF Bay, trying to stay fit at the gym and reading. I still swim and do some body surfing, but have failed to become a board surfer.
We spend a lot of time traveling and I hope to do an Atlantic passage next year.
Several writing attempts have convinced me I am not a novelist.
