I teach public policy at NC State University in Raleigh,and was at SUNY Albany for 12 years before that. My primary research is in natural disaster policy, with broader interests in theories of agenda setting and policy change. My PhD is from the U of Washington in Seattle, which was one of the best times of my life. I grew up in Anchorage, Alaska, and wonder what became of some of my classmates, since I moved away after H.S. and never really went back much. Hope to get back to Alaska soon!".
