Tom's Story
College
I returned to college after I took one quarter off in 1983 from Normandale, a mere 16 years later. I graduated from Georgia Military College in 1999 with an AS, in Criminal Justice. I have since returned again to college to obtain my Bachelors Degree, in Criminal Justice Administration, from The University Of Phoenix and graduated in October of 2005. I am currently looking at Master's Programs and have an array of opportunites to choose from in this regard.

nce 1989. I am currently a Lieutenant, Watch Commander over a Uniform Patrol shift. I also head our Field Training Program for five sister divisions we call Field Operations. Additionally, I am a State Certified Instructor, and was an 11-year senior member of our Special Enforcement Team, same as SWAT until my retirement from SWAT operations in the summer of 2004. (I figured it was time to let the youngsters take my place!) I did work in two other divisons for a short time at the beginning of my career. These assigments were Technical Services and our Crime Scene Unit.
