Tom's Story
Life
Was born in Wiesbaden Germany. Mom's German, dad was an Airforce career man. Moved around alot, and wound up living my formative years in Germany in the mid-late 70's. Left Kaiserslautern in 1980. Graduated high school in 1981 at Redlands High School in California. I hated it there, and one way out was to join the Air Force, which I did upon graduating high school. Got out in 1982 due to a difference of opinions regarding my choice of tobacco, but was honorably discharged. Moved to Redondo Beach, California, where I became involved with the computer industry which was basically in it's infancy. Did that while attending college. Got involved in several start-up companies, which ultimately folded, and wound up living in Vancouver, Canada for a couple years heading up a companies computer operations. I went to dive school, and upon graduation, worked in Santa Barbara off and on. Worked two jobs - diving, and welding radiography, which I became certified for also also. Hurricane Andrew hit Louisiana hard, and there was a subsequent demand for divers in the Gulf of Mexico. Moved to Morgan City, Louisiana in 1992, and worked for Oceaneering International for several years, and did some extensive travelling around the world. Moved on to work with Underwater Submersibles (ROV's) for a couple of years as an electronic technician and pilot/operator. Became involved in communications at that time, since the projects operated in remote areas, and communications became an issue. Seeing a demand for the new technologies, I founded my company in 1997, Delta Wave Communications. Have been doing that ever since. Still living in Bayou Vista, LA. Enjoy concerts, rock and roll, reggae, blues, jazz, travel, skiing, scuba diving.
