Tom's Story
After high school, i went to Eastern Arizona College, and Mesa Community. I spent 2 years in the army (I was drafted) from 1966 to 1968 with one year in Viet Nam with the First Infantry Division. I got married when I came home from Viet Nam to Kathy Keeling from Mesa, and we traveled to Fort Campbell Kentucky where we lived one month. Then I was transferred to Indian Town Gap Pennsylvania for 3 months, and then returned to Ft. Campbell for one more month before I was released from the army. I then had a few small jobs in Mesa, and worked for my dad for 3 years before I landed a job at the GM Desert Proving Ground. I worked at GM from 1972 to 2002 (and loved it), and retired on an early retirement plan. I then went to work at Universal ...Expand for more
Technical Institute as an Instructor and a Technical Team Leader for 4 years, and retired from there. So, you can now conclude that I am ..... well .... retired. I am mostly tired though. I am waiting for my sweetheart of 40 years to retire next year (she works at Deseret Book in Mesa) so that we can go and do things together we always wanted. I am living still in Gilbert, and I lovin' it. The only complaint I have is it is too hot here in the summer, but I LOVE the fall, winter and spring here. I just had my swimming pool refurbished, and it is really nice, and inviting. My oldest grandson (Tim) is living with us again. He will be 20 next month (October 2008). I love computers, and electronics (duh, as if my friends didn't know that).
