Thomas's Story
Where have the years gone? Sometimes I wish that I could step back in time and do a few things different, but time marches on. We were lucky to grow up as a baby boomer, we had great music and were taught values, plus the village raised us. I still remember my fist job at Pizza Johns and bringing home the leftovers! Kenwood had team spirit, a top football team too. Isabelle. telling the chief of the Bowleys Quarters Volunteer Fire Department that they better get their boots ready. As you recall, the storm shifted west of us, counterclockwise winds pulled tides up the bay, a high pressure system to the east, rotating clockwise worked to pull more water up the bay with 8-9 feet of surge. A pressure gradient created that double whammy! Fortunately the rescheduled reunion had even more support. We have lost a number of KHS Class of 73 members, but have not forgotten. As of now, 4/22, there is no mention of a fifty year reunion, let’s hope that changes!
