Tom's Story

I dont know what happened to my original story, so let me start another one. After high school I relocated in the Pacific Northwest. (Spokane, Wa.) I married a Spokane girl in 1972. We had four kids together, two boys, two girls. After a brief stint in the Army, I got started in the field of Corrections in Walla Walla, Washington in 1975. I've been in corections all this time. (34 yrs) I was divorced from my first wife in 1984. I retained custody of the kids, and raised them pretty much on my own. I now have 12 grandkids. My kids are kinda spread out around the west. Two sons are in northern Nevada, my two daughters are in Washington. I dont see them as much as I wish I could, but they do have their own lives to live. They are all healthy and happy. What more could I ask for? I married my second wife in 2006. After being single for over twenty years, it was quite a culture shock. It's taken some getting used to to say the least. But, it's great, we've done alot of great things, and we have had some wonderful times together. Wife #2 also has 4 kids. Together we have 19 grandkids. Talk about birthdays! As far as my interests are co...Expand for more
ncerned, I've always been into outdoor stuff. Camping, fishing, hunting, that kinda stuff. When I was younger I was really into backpacking and fly fishing in high mountain lakes and streams. Of coarse as the years go by the old body is kinda breaking down, so I've had to slow down on that alot. And, I have always been into motorcycles. I love cruising around the country on my metric cruiser. (Vulcan Nomad) I have my I-pod blasting in my ears, the open road ahead of me, and away I go. Freedom baby, oh yea! I am looking forward to retirement in about five more years. And when I do retire, I'm going to get as far away from criminals as I can get, and enjoy life in the real world. It will probebly take five years to get my wife on the back of my bike, but I'll "get er done", I promise. We plan to retire to the Prescott, Arizona area. We would like San Diego, but doupt we could afford it. Who knows, maybe we could go back to Linda Vista and get into one of the places I used to live. "NOT!!!" My e-mail is flyfishrguy at yea hooooo dot you know what. Drop me a line if you can. Take care everybody, and never forget where we came from.

Penny, she was the best friend a guy could have. I lost her in 2001, she was 9 years old at the time. She had cancer. When I heard she had to be put down, I was like, “she’s only 9 years old.” The Vet tells me that was pret

My cool bullet pen. I found it at the Sportsman’s Warehouse, couldn’t resist it. It’s made from .308 cartridges. Way cool!
