Tom's Story
After high school, I went to Hiibbing J.C. for two years. Then to the U. of Mn. in Mpls. where I graduated with a B. S. in Sociology (emphasis on criminology. I met my wife when I was at the U. Within one week I graduated, got married, and decided I need a different career field so I started over at St. Cloud State in Chemistry. In '72 I earned a Masters in Physical Science. the past several years the first aid and chem have been for college credit. I also coached Cross Country and Track for over 25 years. I retired from teaching after 41 years. I am still currently an EMT on the Staples Ambulance (32 years) and a Ski Patrol at Powder Ridge in Kimball. Mn. (41 years). I enjoy hunting, fishing, golf, and spending time at our cabin by Alexandria, Mn. especially when our grandson is there. I am still married to the same wonderful lady. We have one son and one grandson.
