Hi all, As you may know, I could not wait to join the military.....immediately after graduation, I was off to the U.S. Navy. I spent 4 years there on two different aircraft carriers (USS Saratoga & USS Forrestal)< I worked on the flight deck where all the action was......I got out in 1966, married shortly after that,i was married just in time for Vietnam to get rolling, my then wife knew I was anxious to be part of the military during wartime, soooooo after promising her that I'd come back upright, I joined the US Air Force......I was stationed at Wurtsmith AFB (Oscoda Mi) for about a year and then volunteered for Vietnam......I spent 2 tours there and ultimately came home with a purple heart and several other medals.......I lost many good friends there including a cousin who was killed the day I got in country. I got home in time to go to Woodstock ( I don't remember much of it though) and a Pink Floyd concert. I have been very fortunate to have my health and my boyish good looks!!!!! (HAHA) My only regret is that I let my ex talk me into leaving the service to our amazing country. I have always been a flag waiver, and very patriotic.
