Tom's Story
In high school, I was not in the lime light. I was pretty much an original geek, falling in love with technology doing some initial programming at Walnut Ridge on some programmable calculator. I think it was a Singer, but not sure. I also was in the chess club, math club, stage crew and ran cross country.
After that, I attended Columbus Tech graduating 2nd in the class. I also got married to my wife of 44 years in 71. Since then we've moved a few times. Now we are in Houston (been here twice). We moved from Columbus to Kansas City after graduation. In the mid 80s, we moved to Houston and out to Charlotte in the latter 90s. We moved back to Houston in 2001/2 after the market crash and here we stay.
I finished my bachelor's in 2006 at Capella University. I just never stayed in any place long enough to graduate, so an Capella being online made that possible.

mily wise we have 11 grand children of which 7 are living with use <yes, it's just a crazy thing to do>.
My hobbies now include singing, playing at a guitar, building PCs, working with my grandson on robotics, tennis, bike riding and .. well not much time for other pursuits since I may never retire.
As a child I went to 14 different schools and my home life was not terrific. I didn't make a lot of close friends at Walnut ridge. If you remember me, don't be dismayed if I ask how I knew you. So much of that time is a haze <lol>.
There is the huge the exception of Ray Bogardus and his sister Carol whose family took me in after I was kicked out by my parents. They were wonderful to me and I thank them for their kindness and am forever indebted.
I've become a southerner again down here, so I say y'all please understand.
