Tom's Story
Life
Spent 20 years in and then retired from the Navy after making Captain in '97. Divorced at the same time. Played golf every day for six months, got bored, moved to So. Fla. and got into Facilities Management. Spend leisure time playing golf, cooking, riding my Harley (Screamin Eagle Road Glide Ultra), collecting wine and traveling. (Just returned from a week in Napa Valley.....) My wife (#2) and I have been together for 20 years ... got married in Vegas 10 years ago with 50 friends...it was crazy. I have three kids: one in the USMC and the other two living and working in Va. Beach, VA. My wife has three as well, one in Jacksonville, FL and two in Philadelphia. (We did the whole Brady Bunch thing....) Parents have finally moved to FL from Danville and live down the road. Life is good, hope yours is too!

nd commanding a Destroyer...and got into the Facilities Management business. Worked for a couple great companies and retired from the Broward County School District (the 6th largest school district in the country) where I was the Chief Facilities and Construction Officer, taking care of more than 250 schools and 5000 acres of grounds. My military experiences helped me deal with it but....... My motto: work hard, play hard, and if it isn't fun anymore, stop doing it. So I did. Came back to work for the District’s education competition for 5 years at Charter Schools USA, the Nation's only accredited Charter School company. We built 40 schools in four years! We doubled in size to a hundred schools! Now working as a VP at a small construction company where I was hired to help them double in size each year for the next few years. We are way ahead of schedule.
