Tom's Story
Ok, time to fill this out...
For those who know me, I was an Air Force brat...moving from England AFB, Alexandria, La, to Dyess AFB, Abilene, Tx all throughout high school. There was always band or orchestra so I always felt like I was a part of something.
Dad finally retired and it was back to Floirda.
Silly me, turned around and joined the Air Force after a stint in the back of ambulances. Ended up at DLI in Monterey attempting to learn Bulgarian(with a southern accent..lol). During the weekends, I'd go out to Laguna Seca and got involved with SCCA racing. I made it thru the course and ended up at NSA, Ft Meade, Md. where I met my first wife, Laurie. stationed at Seymour Johnson AFB, NC. Kept with the SCCA as a Fire/Rescue tech at Rockingham and NC Motorspeedway. Guess I did pretty good, because I was recommended to become a TI at Chanute AFB, Il. After I got out of the Air Force, I finally ended up overseas as a civilian Fire Inspector...in Taif, Saudi Arabia..2 weeks before the start of Desert Storm.
Surviving 2 years there, I moved to Georgia where I became a fire extinguisher tech and 9-1-1 dispatcher in Habersham county. Loved the sports car racing at Road Atlanta where I continued as a volunteer Fire/Rescue tech.
Since then, I moved to Orlando, Fl and worked at Unviersal Studios Citywalk for awhile. Now I'm the Extinguisher Service Manager for a local company.
