't regret it. I now worry about our stock portfolio for a living -- great days ahead? I hope....
When I was 62, I bought my first motorcycle - a Kawasaki 1600cc. Well, I did have a little Suzuki 250cc for a short time back in '75. I now have four: a BMW R1100RT, a BMW F650GS Twin, and a Piaggio MP3 500 Scooter as well as a Suzuki DL650 in Germany.
I've riden up to the Arctic Ocean - Deadhorse Prudhoe Bay, down to the bottom of South America - Tierra del Fuego Ushuaia, here and there in the USA, Up Africa from South Africa to Egypt, and thru about 30 countries in Europe. Planning for Balkans, Greece, Turkey, Middle East again (if it calms down a bit) in 2013 - or 14.
I have 7 kids - all more than 40 years old! And, I have 11 grandchildren ranging from 2 to 16 years old. Some live close by and some not so much -- 3 live in Cairo, Egypt. My wife (Kathy Young) and I bought a little RV and plan to start traveling together around the US and Canada -- when she gets her books finished....".
Update: Heading for the end: Diagnosed with Pulmonary Fibrosis in 2014 - incurable and fatal - another year? 2? Doing well after one year. Bought an old Mercedes SL 500 Hardtop Convertible to ride out my last days - still fixing it up. Kathy and I are downsizing and moving to a condo in town. It's been a good life and continues to be good = so far. .
