Tom's Story

I live in So Cal where I retired from Saddlemen, a motorcycle accessory company which I established in 1987 and sold in 2020. I have been single since 2005; my daughter and two beautiful granddaughters live nearby. Many activities keep me very busy: travel, regular excercise , collecting muscle cars and motorcycles, mountain biking, riding street and dirt bikes, fishing and generally keeping busy with friends. Life is good. Motorc...Expand for more
ycling has brought me around the world, introduced me to amazing people that have included me in their fraternity of close friends. I have been inducted into three motorcycle Halls of fame. I again downsized my residence and as of September, 2021 am still moving in to my new home. I continue to look for new challenges, new friends, new destinations and opportunities while maintaining contact with my circle of friends and memories.

Not a mirror- look again. This is looking down the hallway through a series of bulkhead doors on the WWII era battleship Iowa. I visited the moored relic a few days ago and was impressed with both the physical ship and the

While attending the Sturgis Rally, I attended the flat track event promoted by Black Hills HD. While there I had a chance to meet with buddy Kenny Roberts and get some of his views on the state of racing. (PC Kinney Jones)
Near Mt Rushmore with Don Emde and Ronnie Jones- two great guys. Nice ride today through and around CusterState Park. Very small crowd this year, great for sightseeing but poor for business.

A new restaurant opened today just outside Kumamoto near Mt Aso; Kennys Cafe. Great food, stop by when you're in town.
Active volcano, (Unzen Fugen-Dake) last erupted about 25 years ago with quite a bit of damage- hellish smell of sulphur in that cloud behind us. We're actually in an "off limits " area due to the fumes.

We are about 15 mi
Today's ride near Kumamoto Japan took us to the top of a volcano caldera; the center behind us has filled in over 1000's of years making a fertile valley. With me is Mr Gold (our Americanized name) our host for the Kenny Ro
Kenny Roberts 2016 Rally to support the victims of Kumamoto earthquake earlier this year. Well attended but a bit hot and humid.
Tonight I was doing my run/walk near my old route along the LongBeach harbor at dusk and observed a boat, which must have been a fire fighting vessel, doing its best "proud peacock " imitation. It was a beautiful scene and
Group picture somewhere in the countryside of southern Japan. Lots of twisty roads today, typhoon may makes us wet tomorrow although we will miss the heavy part.
