Tom's Story
After graduating in 1967 from Maria Regina School, I attended Junipero Serra High School. Both schools were in Gardena, CA. My father was transferred from Los Angeles to Galveston, TX in 1969. I left Junipero Serra the summer after my sophomore year and relocated to the Houston suburb of Clear Lake which was developed to support the workforce at NASA (Johnson Space Center). I attended Mt. Carmel High School in Houston my junior and senior years graduating in the class of 1971. h lead to the world of IT. I married a native Texan named Elizabeth. We had a son naming him Sean Patrick Layden Sullivan. Today, Sean is married to Jennifer and they gifted us with 2 grandchildren. A boy Layden (6) (his name is my mom's maiden name) and Annora (3). And now after 50 years in the workforce, I retired as an IT Director for Daikin's Goodman Manufacturing in Waller, TX on May 31, 2021. I plan to volunteer my time at an archdiocesan soup kitchen and once Elizabeth retires (she's younger than me) visit sites and sail the seas. Life's been good y'all, it's been very good indeed.
