Tom Taggart:  

Life Tom and Marilyn (nee Benson) married in 1970 and have lived in Seattle, WA since 1974. I worked at the Univ. of Washington for almost 30 years in a variety of capacities involved with student services, classroom support, and educational research and testing. I retired in 2002. I worked at East Shore Unitarian Church as Administrator for 5 years and then at University Unitarian Church as Business Manager until June. Now, I'm kinda', sorta retired. Marilyn is representative for Bensonwood (Bensonwood,dot,com). She telecommutes from Seattle to New Hampshire every work day. (No traffic there.) She writes and edits information about this premier timberframe company featured on This Old House. She talks to prospective customers and assists them to plan building their new homes. She tours the country and photographs the completed Bensonwwod homes for their website and possible publication. Tom & Marilyn live in an old home (1921) just north of the UW campus. We love to travel and look forward to having the time and $ to actually do it. We have been all over Washington and spent time visiting family in Colorado, Florida, and New Hampshire. We particularly like visiting the Washington coast and Olympic Peninsula. In 2004, we went to England for a couple of weeks. It was wonderful. The highlight was being the "show & tell" objects at an "elementary" school in Birmingham, which has primarily Pakistani and Afghani children.
