Tom's Story
Well, after graduation, attended Union County Vo Tech for a 2 year Commercial Art program. Then attended Ramapo College for 2 years when I was recruited by Bell Labs in Murray Hill. Was in the Facility Management Group for 27 years, doing engineering, design and construction. Held several positions from designer to Space Planning Supervisor for 1.7 million sq. ft. of space at Murray Hill. My group was instrumental in transitioning from manual drafting to CAD drafting. But in '01 like lots of other folks, was forced into early retirement. Have been restoring classic cars and trucks, am a proud member of the Blue Moon Kruizers Classic Car Club running a Car Cruise at the local Chick-fil-A in Howell for 14 years now!
That, working in and around the house, on my model train layout (some guys never grow up!) and dabbling on ebay - keeps me out of trouble. Ginny says...Expand for more
I'm the busiest retired guy she has ever seen! We just celebrated our 40th Anniversary - boy thats scary!
We have two great kids - Jim's the oldest, will be 39 and Carrie is 36, Both are married, Jim to a great gal Holly and Carrie to a great guy from Great Britian, Leo. We have one grandson - Jackson who is just a super kid!
Ginny and I lived in Middlesex for a few years before having a house built in No. Plainfield. In '88 we moved to So. Jersey into our newly built house in Jackson, where we lived for 27 years. In 2015 we moved to Toms River - where we are now, enjoying retirement.
I enjoy touching base with old chums now and then, and feel sad to find out some are no longer with us. A sign we are alot older than we would like to admit. I am looking forward to seeing folks at the reunion, hope all are well and wish them continued health and happiness!
