Life After high school I moved to Troy, Alabama and attended Troy State University. Graduated with a BA in Secondary Education, majoring in Latin and History. I thought I'd teach and coach, but instead I chose to work with college students. I had worked through college in the dormitory and took my first job out of school at Samford University in Birmingham. I worked as a Director of On Campus Housing overseeing two freshman dorms. After one year at Samford I went to work for a college ministry that focuses on small colleges, Campus Outreach. CO is a interdenominational ministry started by Briarwood Presbyterian in Birmingham. The goal of CO is to introduce college students to Jesus Christ and have them embrace His mission and compassion for the world one person at a time. For 7 years I worked with college students and at 29 years of age I realized, finally, I can't keep up with college student hours and adult responsibilities.
