Re-entering the private sector in 1993, I worked in the Atlanta mortgage market. I moved to Charleston in 1995, and spent over ten years as a mortgage consultant in South Carolina  including management of a company with seven branches in two states, and a start-up mortgage operation for a national tax resolution firm. I was actively involved in the S.C. Mortgage Brokers Association, and was selected as Broker of the Year in 2001. I served as President of that organization in 1999-2000, and led several successful legislative efforts on behalf of the mortgage industry in recent years.
I served as an elected member of the St. Andrews Public Service District Commission in Charleston County from 2002-2006, and reside in the West Ashley area in Charleston.
