Ton'a's Story

Life Hello to all who read this! I am currently living in Fremont with my husband David (of almost 10 years) and my son Matthew who is going into his Jr. year at CHS next fall, and will be playing Varsity Football for Clyde (GO CHS!), and plans to enlist in the United States Navy after graduation in 2008. He is going into the Military Police Program (Shore Patrol) with plans to be on the Police force "somewhere" when he leaves the Navy. We have a 6 year old Sheltie named "Corrin", the Amish dog from IN. who sure didn't learn her manners from the Amish family we bought her from! We also have a 1 year old part Siamese cat "Luckeyboy" who came to us by way of a lady who almost hit him on the street, to the neighbor thinking it was my cat and put him in my house!! (we were not home at the time) Well imagine my suprise when I got home and found a little white furball scared to death and sick with a cold. Well the poor little guy was just a few weeks old, it was snowing and cold outside and well, he pulled at my heart strings and he is now a member of our family who is also "Not Well Mannered, because as any of you humans who are fortunate to have a cat knows "They Own Us, We Don't Own Them!" He follows me to every room and cries at the door when I leave he is so attached to me. LOL I guess its his way of saying "Thank You" for taking care of me. The only thing is, he is a "Bed Hog" and I have to fight for the blankets every night! (but its worth it) Our daughter Michelle lives in Fremont also, in Ballville Township with her husband Dana and 2 beautiful children Zakarie 6 and BrieAnn who is 3. Being a grandparent is the most beautiful thing that could ever happen to someone, because it is like having a second chance to change th...Expand for more
e things you didn't do right with your own kids, and its fun watching "Your Kid" with theirs going through the same thing that you did with them! Plus you can give the grandchildren lots of sugar then send them home for Mom and Dad to deal with! j/k No all joking aside, we are very close to our grandchildren and since we only live a little over a mile from them, they are here quite often when either Mom or Dad or both are working. Both my daughter and her husband are EMT's and my son inlaw is currently in school to get his Paramedics Certification. Michelle and Dana are both volunteers in Greensprings and Dana is also an EMT with North Central Ambulance Service and voluteers for Ballville Fire Department, while Michelle works full time as Shift Supervisor at Rite Aid in Fremont. We are very proud of both of them for the accomplishments they have done in their lives. I hope everyone is doing well in their lives and I sincerly hope to see you all at the 25th Reunion in 2007. The class really needs to think about making some sort of a memorial for those classmates we have lost along the way in the past few years. I think it would be honorable to get something for each of their grave sites and notify the families of our intentions so they can be there as well. Ed Hamlin or Brian Knoderer are both ministers, so maybe we could make arrangements to have one of them say a prayer when the flowers are presented on the gravesite. I would even be willing to help Coordinate this, to be able to let the families of the classmates who are no longer with us know they they may be gone, but they are not forgotten. I know of 3 classmates which are Scott Biddle, Joe Bradfield, and Judy Lemon Bentley. If there are more please let me know.
