School
Which one? I ended up at 3 different high schools, thanks to my dad's military job, retirement and the new job.
I was in Plattsburgh NY for 5th through 9th grade. Then was in Central Valley CA from 10th to middle of 11th grade. Ending up in Marion, IA with my graduating class of 149 for rest of high school. Adjusting to moving sucked :) Didn't have a lot of friends and only keep in touch with 2.
I was a choir geek, was in some advanced classes, and dressed from the salvation army. Had one serious crush on one guy, otherwise I didn't have more than 2 boyfriends....again geek.
So glad high school is over! :)
Workplace
I was in the military for 4.5 years. Then went into Medical Assistant training and work in that field for about a year. Husband shipped to Japan where I was an at home mom and did my own home day care business.
Came back to the states in 96' where I have worked in temp clerical positions until 99' when I got a job with Marriott. Our group b...Expand for more
roke away from Marriott creating an new procurement company called Avendra, LLC. I have worked within 4 positions in 4 years and mainly within the sales dept. I work as a admin assistant in our inside sales dept when I left in Aug 2003.
In Feb 2004 I worked as a proposal writer for TekSystems which I left in Nov 2004 after my husband retired.
I was again a SAHM for a few years and discovered my local quilt shop (a hobby I have currently had over 15 years). Begged for a job (to save on my quilting expenses) and got it. Been working there since Jan 07, 4 days a week. I do a lot of the computer work for the shop including the website and marketing items. This is truly my dream job!
I do a lot of traveling, normally with friends. Enjoy walking the beach by the ocean and love Key West. I now have a passport again and plan to travel to Europe soon!
I am now the proud parent of a college graduate! My youngest son received his Associate in Sciences in Culinary Arts.
