Military
Major Tony Behrens is a 1995 graduate of Wentworth Military Academy, Lexington, Missouri. Of the Early Commissioning Program, Major Behrens was commissioned in Military Intelligence. He hails from St. Louis, Missouri. Major Behrens assignments include Tactical Intelligence Officer, 69th Infantry Brigade and Communications Platoon Leader, 130th Field Artillery Brigade, Kansas Army National Guard, Topeka, Kansas; Personnel Officer, 3-2 ADA Battalion, Fort Bliss, Texas; Executive Officer, Echo Battery, 3-2 ADA Battalion; Adjutant, 31st Air Defense Artillery Brigade; and Assistant Operations Officer, 35th Air Defense Artillery Brigade.

Watch and Enduring Freedom (Kuwait, September 2002-March 2003), and Operation Iraqi Freedom (March-May 2003). Currently, Major Behrens commands the 15th Air Defense Artillery Detachment, Joint Tactical Ground Station (JTAGS)Â Europe. JTAGS is part of the Space and Missile Defense Command and provides early warning of tactical ballistic missile launches for the European Command.
Major Behrens holds a Bachelor of Science in Law Enforcement from Washburn University, Topeka, Kansas and a Master of Public Administration and National Security from Troy University, Troy, Alabama. His professional schooling includes the Air Defense Officer Basic Course, Airborne School, the CaptainÂs Career Course and the Combined Arms Services Staff School.
Major Behrens awards and decorations include the Bronze Star, the Army Commendation Medal (3rd Award), the Army Achievement Medal, the Outstanding Military Volunteer Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal (2nd Award), the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal (Southwest Asia), the Army Parachutist Badge, and the Air Force Space and Missile Badge.
He lives in Stuttgart, Germany with his son, Dylan (age 7).
