Tony's Story
After Lindblom, I went to Lake Forest College and graduated from there in 1980, along with Lindbloomers Pam Pearson and Malcolm Chapman. Went to law School at the University of Colorado at Boulder from 1984-87. Passed the Colorado Bar Exam in 1988, and from 1989-2002, I was an Assistant Attorney General for State of Colorado for 12 years. Most of this was SERIOUS criminal law -- over 1000 cases -- 95% violent felonies. (FYI - Anita Alvarez is an Idiot!)
So from 1996-2002, I became a part-time lawyer and part-time football coach. After 2002, I gave up law and started coaching. (Does the world need more lawyers?). Tried and trying to get to the NFL as a coach, but I guess I'm just not as smart at Jay Cutler! So I carved out a career coaching football and lacrosse in Europe - they pay Americans to go...Expand for more
to Europe and coach "American" sports like FB, Hoops, baseball and lacrosse. I've coached teams in Germany, Canada, France, Spain, and Italy, Not too fired up about GER and Italy, but Paris, France and Amsterdam are a MF. And to me, Barcelona is the greatest city on the planet.
In 2009 and 2012, my folks passed away, and I moved back to Chi for a bit to deal with family stuff. But by Xmas, I'm taking my black ass back to Europe. Will be running 3 teams in France starting hopefully in late Nov. So if any of you Lindbloomers need any info on Euro vacations, travel stuff, cheap airfare, or legal advice on divorces or child support issues, I will hook y'all up no charge the best I can.
Thanks for putting up with me 30+ years ago. You all were pretty cool and I'm grateful to have gotten to know ya.
