Tony's Story
It's been a long, strange trip....
1980-81...bummed around at UT-Arlington.
1981-1984 - bummed around at UT-Austin.
1985-1987 - Detour through the Marine Corps...why? I dunno. It felt right until I actually went to boot camp. Got old after about 3 days, but I learned how to dye shoes, starch clothing, and kill people. Got to go to Japan. Otherwise, it sort of sucked.
1987- Back at UT-Austin...graduated!
1987-1990 - Worked in Austin.
1990 - Got fired in Austin
1990-1994 - Don't even want to talk about it. A "Bukowskian" period.
1994-1996 - On the road installing telecom equipment in phone offices. Good times.
1997-2001 - Someone actually thought I'd be a good engineer. Good but weird times.
2001 - GOT LAID....off....Expand for more
2001 - Married Cherie Bell...Duncanville Class of '81. Interesting story there.
2002-2006 - Worked in the wine department at Sigel's here in Dallas. Bought a house in Oak Cliff about 3 blocks from the first home I ever lived in. President of Dells District Neighborhood Association.
2006-2009 - Working in telecom again. Doing tech support.
2010-2011- Diagnosed with bladder cancer in November, had a radical cystectomy and had a "neobladder" built from my intestines. Cancer-free so far. Went back to work in April....
That's the rough outline...contact for details. It's more interesting than I've made it out to be.
