Tony's Story
My two years at Madison Heights were filled with great friends and doing school activities. I loved being in Heighlighters, Concert Choir, Thespians/Drama, Sports, and a few other fun events. After attending Meadowbrook Elementary for grades 3, 4, and 5th I moved to Woodbury, Tennessee and then Tampa Florida. I moved back to Anderson the second time and attended 8th grade and half my 9th grade year before moving over Christmas break to Benton Kentucky where I attended the second half of my Freshman year and all of my Sophomore year. In the summer before my Junior year I moved back to Anderson for the third and final time. I got there too late to try out for Heighlighters my Junior year which really bothered me and I was too late to join the football team who had been working out even though I had been playing in Kentucky at Marshall County High School. I loved my Junior and Senior years at Madison Heights and Anderson in general. I participated in Playmakers my Junior and Seni...Expand for more
or year which was the top community theater group in Anderson at the time. I played in the Wizard of Oz and a few other musicals and plays and really enjoyed it. During that activity I made great friends with a few people from Anderson High School and Highlands High School. I loved being in Advanced P.E. my Junior year. There were a bunch of us athletes and man we got in marine core type shape and it was also very fun playing a wide variety of sports with such good athletes. At that time I planned to be a doctor and surgeon. I was later talked out of that sadly by my college sweet heart. I received my degree in Marketing from the University of Houston and went to graduate school. I became a chemical sales executive in the Houston area where I still live near and travelled frequently to places such as Toronto, Philadelphia, Baltimore, five Gulf states and Mexico. I left this lucrative career after 911 and am in my 7th year as a teacher. I teach Elementary level Life Skills.
