Life After Graduation I went to work managing a concession stand for someone I had been working summers for in my previous 6 years. Once Summer ended I had to decide on whether to go to college or find a job. A good friend of mine was looking for construction workers to work on a roofing crew. I figured it was going to be fun because I knew the people I would be working with, and I was right. I loved the family atmosphere and enjoyed the physical labor so I decided to make an effort to impress the bosses by doing a good job. It worked and I found myself with a permanent position there. I worked to learn the trade and 5 years later decided to start my own company. It was rough at first because I had no customer base but I got a break when my old boss decided to retire.
