Antonio's Story
Life
After Graduation I went to work managing a concession stand for someone I had been working summers for in my previous 6 years. Once Summer ended I had to decide on whether to go to college or find a job. A good friend of mine was looking for construction workers to work on a roofing crew. I figured it was going to be fun because I knew the people I would be working with, and I was right. I loved the family atmosphere and enjoyed the physical labor so I decided to make an effort to impress the bosses by doing a good job. It worked and I found myself with a permanent position there. I worked to learn the trade and 5 years later decided to start my own company. It was rough at first because I had no customer base but I got a break when my old boss decided to retire. I bought the company from him and merged it with mine. I soon bought another 4 companies and continued to expand. nd construction management. I now own property in 3 states and am always looking for new business opportunities. I married my high school sweetheart the same year that I started the business an we are still together today. Although I have not become as wealthy as I would have liked to so far, there is till time and I am still on course to retire in another 6 years. Incidently thats when the second of my two kids should be off to college. After that I look forward to buying a place in Las vegas so I can spend Winters there, and live life to its fullest. In my spare time I coach and mentor underprivlidged kids with my partner in a boxing gym right across the street from the new LICHS building. Its been very rewarding being able to help the local kids channel their angers and frustrations into more positive avenues, and we hope to turn out 3 world champions from there in the next 3-5 years. Currently we are training 6 golden glove hopefulls and one Olympic athlete for the 2008 Games.
