Tony's Story

Life Ok a quick update on my life since I left good ol cal hi. After establishing myself as one of the Greatest athletes in the history of cal hi, I went on to Long Beach State to continue the legacy of my baseball career. After a successful career at LB which included a trip to the College World Series, I signed a contract to play in the independant leagues. Oh what a ride that was, I was able to play ball and see many sites, let see if I can get this right, I started out playing in anchorage alaska, got traded to memphis, was sold to de luth, got to come home for a cup of coffee in Riverside, CA, spend on winter playing in Venezuela another in Mexico and wrapped up my baseball career setting the single season record for Doubles (really look it up online) in the Australlian Professional Baseball league. In the fall of 97 a good friend of ours , Steve Wilson, remember steve, hooked me up with a tryout with a professional basketball team that he had recently played for over in Europe. Heck, I hadnt touched a Basketball since my glory days at ol cal hi, but you know what they say about riding a bike. ah I didnt know where that was either, but it sounded like a great adventure, well once I got there I tried out and signed a contract that same day, yes, I am a professional Basketball Player, and no I dont make as much a Kobe. To tell you the truth my contract last year was on of the top 5 in the history of the league, which translates into about 45,000 US Dollars, but I cant complain, its doing what I love to do, its only for 6 months out of the year, albeit 6 very cold months, and I was able to negotiate a deal for free food at the local McDonalds, yep im the local McDonalds spokesman for Karach, Slovania, if you ever get to this part of the world stop in McDonalds and tell them you my friend and they will hook you up. Well Im back in whittier right now Dec, 2004 to spend the holidays with my friends and family and would love to hear from you all and find out how you are doing. I still keep in contace with Chuck B and Tom Evans, and was graciously hosted by Brandon Martines when I was playing ball for Clexico . Does anyone know what Lisa Mejia is doing, I heard she might have moved to France and if anyone knows where in France, im not far from there and would love to visit her. Ok, email me, Id love to hear from you. Tony Fimbers #15
