Tony's Story

There is a lot to tell. A good portion of my life is only for a few select people to know. Basically, I got out of high school, did a term in the air force, then kinda wasted the next 15 years of my life being kind of a loser. It was because of a great loss I had at the tender age of 16. Anyway, after that dark period, I started getting my life together. I became a pretty good guy. I got a decent job, started my own car club, and used it to hold charity car shows every year. I still do that to this day. I missed the 2011 season because I was in the hospital getting a liver transplant. 13 years ago I met my beautiful wife, on AOL of all places. I had just published a new collection of Gothic poetry and my wife was one of the 6 people in the country who actually read it. I was on AOL talking about the poems, and she popped in the room. We started talking, and kept talking and writing for thee months (real paper letter too!) anyway we fell in love. We had never even seen each other. Finally on a labor day, I flew out o Orlando from LA to meet her in person. Two months later she moved to LA. This past October we celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary. Sadly I was in the hospital, but we got the hospital chaplain to come to my room and we renewed our vows!. Well jumping back a bit, 8 years ago we moved to Phoenix because my wife got a fantastic job offer with an ungodly salary! I gave up my computer career to become a photographer. With the help of world famous pin-up/hot rod photographer Roy Varga, I broke in to the same line. My work has been in several hot rod magazines. Once I heal up some more from my t...Expand for more
ransplant I will take my camera back up. So right now I live in a little part suburb, part rural town called Laveen. We are right on the very Southwest corner of Phoenix. My wife and I live in a beautiful, semi-custom built home with three precious but slightly retarded little dogs. I am currently working on my, uhm well, about my 40th hot rod. This one is a 65 Barracuda just like the one I had back in 86/87. If I told you folks the rest of my life story, your hair would turn white. But suffice it to say that I have a good life now, and I am a decent and contributing member of our little community of Laveen. Hey I just saw this story wizard thing, I think I will try to use it. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- How do you hope old friends remember you? I hope they remember that I protected my friends from bullies like Danny Armenderez. How do you blow off steam? Describe your favorite way to relax. Drag racing at the local track, or hosting my monthly car shows. Do you have a hero? Talk about where your inspiration comes from. His holiness the Dalai Lama inspires me to live a more peaceful life. The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is Lori Tarmin, because she was my first love, and then she was lost.. My only passion in life besides my family are my cars. You can check out my car club at forgottenclassics dot com My biggest surprise is that anyone could truly love me. To be truly happy... well I am truly happy right now! What happened to your first crush? I wish I knew, she just vanished one day.
