Tracey's Story

Life Watch what you ask for! You just might get it. Sometimes that's good and sometimes that's bad. In my case it's pretty evenly rounded. When I chose Psychology as my major in college I knew the reason was because that is what I wanted to study. Thank goodness, because I haven't had a typical "Psychology" job yet. Well, atleast I haven't had a job yet that my Bachelors degree in Psychology (the paper itself) proved benificial. Do I use the knowledge that George Mason University provided me? Every Day! It has been benificial to my family, friends, career and personality. I love people and I still love learning, reading, listening and hopefully understanding as deeply as I can. Growing up as an only child until I was 15,I always wanted a large family. My sister is in her 20s now and we are extremely close. There is no deeper blessing in this world than my four chilren (Katie 1996,Austin 1998,Sophie 2000,and Jacob 2002). My love for studying French and wine lead me to my French ex-husband. I am still living in Hamilton, Virginia on some property that supports a small vinyard,a pond, two donkeys and a family of deer that like to visit us while we are at the breakfast table in the early mornings.Update...I have moved into the town of Purcellville(2008-2009).It was a mile move but a world of change. I live near the library right in the middle of town. I am still an active volunteer with my community,my church, and my children's schools(in the classroom and with the PTA).I am always on the go as my kids are somehow involved in every sport and activiity in each season. We go downtown ALL the time and take road trips often.I believe that these are the most important things in life: Family, spirituality, and community. Update...I am almost divorced and still friends with Anthony..we parent well together. I received my Master's degree in 2005, and I am working on Post Graduate. Busy, Busy. I am a special education teacher for Loudoun County Public Schools. I am always looking to connect with old friends and aquaintances. I love Loudoun county and I love laways running into people from my past. So that's it. That is where I am at right now. I love coming on this site and reading about everybody's achievemen...Expand for more
ts and growth. I hope if you look up my profile you will drop me a line and say hello. So for now, BE HAPPY! LIVE LIFE! LOVE ALL! Tracey School I remember elementary school well. Bucknell Elementary's Mr. Cooley. Does anybody remember him? And the janitor, everyone knew him to be a friend. Bryant Intermediate school was the most excitng and scary time of my life. All that mattered was cheerleading, friends and boys...lots of boys.Yes, I love the Wonder Years' reruns. Moving to Sterling and coming in to Sterling Middle School in the middle of eighth grade was the most difficult time in my school life. Everybody had grown up together and knew one another and I missed my childhood friends so much. Mr. Engel is who I remember most. Home Ec is what I like not to remember.Well, I survived. Park View High School was pretty new and soooo big. It's funny how I only remember the good times about high school. My biggest regret is that I missed so much school in those years. I knew every trick, scheme, game, story there was to get out of school. My regret is not the "schooling" that I missed, for I made that up eventually. My regrets are the experiences that I missed out on and the relationships that I never developed. I do remember fondly Mrs. Aversono(Bonjour Madame; I married into a French family; my husband is French American and the French classes that we took together in college- I Got the "A" because I knew my grammar.Merci!) I also remember fondly Mrs.Land (I am so sorry for your loss...and happy for all of your gains, as well.) and Mrs.Edmonson. Thank you ladies for caring about me. It is facinating reading about everyone' accomplishments and hearing through the grapevine about my classmate's exciting lives. If you are reading this, please drop me a line, Iwould love to hear from anyone that I shared any school experiences with. Workplace I am active in my church, my children's schools, and my community. I believe these are the most important things in life. I am a special education teacher, now. (Its nice to work "school" hours, although I have some early mornings and some late nights; and some very long days). But my work fits around and into my life. It involves all the things that are most important to me.
