Tracey's Story
Life
Well, I graduated from ISU after a breif "time-out" to get married and start a career. I decided I liked school (amazing what you can learn when you actually go to class....without a hangover!) and continued on to get my MS from ISU Vet Med. Now, I am the supervisor of the Bessey Microscopy Facility at ISU. It's a life science service facility for researchers to come use the electron microscopes to study thier materials. It's really fun!
I have a great husband John (who is a painter for ISU) and two kiddo's, Sarah (12) and Johnny Ray (4). Yeah, they're a little spread out...but not for lack of trying!
My interests still include riding horses, in fact I got to live a dream of mine and participate in an authentic fox hunt ...Expand for more
last year! It was amazing, imagine a two hour cross-country ride that is at a dead run most of the time flying over fences, up and down hills, over streams. It's the funnest thing I've ever done! Other than that, we hang with the family, we love to fish and hike and explore, we're just begining to travel more (now that Johnny's older).
The only real hardship we had was the death of my brother Ray J. two years ago to cancer. He was only 40. I miss him dearly.
We look forward to this coming school year, JR will get to start early (poor teachers!) at St. Cecilia School and Sarah will start 7th grade in Ames with her St. C buddies at the brand new middle school. We thank God for a blessed life and we pass His blessings on to you!
