Biographical Sketch of Minister Tracey Y. Odum
Minister Tracey Y. Odum has been a member of North Stelton AME Church, Piscataway, NJ. since 1979. At the young age of 14, she accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. For the past 9 years, Tracey has faithfully been serving the Lord in the ministry of Praise & Worship as the Praise Team Leader. It is her desire to minister to the people of God; but most of all to bring glory to God through not only Praise, but WORSHIP. The Lord has opened TraceyÂs heart and blessed her to understand what it means to worship him in spirit and in truth. Yielding to the Spirit of God and allowing Him to pour into her a yearning for rhema praise; she has written several songs and look forward to sharing them and her testimony with the body of Christ. Her favorite scripture is Psalm 34:1-3, ÂI will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth. My soul shall make her boast in the Lord; The humble shall hear of it and be glad. Oh magnify the Lord with me, And let us exalt His name together. Through leading the people of God in worship, the Lord has deposit a special gift in the heart of Tracey. Tracey believes strongly in the ministry of intercessory prayer, and the ability to touch the heart of God lifting up that which is dear to Him. Whether it be salvation for the lost, healing for the sick, deliverance for those who need to be set free.
In 2000 the Lord placed in TraceyÂs heart the desire to tell the message of love, forgiveness, salvation, deliverance and victory through the ministry of Drama. She became a member of the NSAMEEÂ Drama Ministry and was featured in se...Expand for more
veral productions such as, ÂThe Drinking Gourd, AmenÂs Corner, Pillar of Salt & Answer to my Prayer". Due to the exposure to the eyes of many, the Lord allowed her to see how much power and voice she really had. Tracey is presently writing a production of her own, specifically ministering to the singles and the challenges that they face. It is her desire to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ and leave an impact on the people of God causing them to serve Him with their whole heart.
ÂAnd let us exalt His name togetherÂ, in doing so Tracey later became a member of the NSAME Dance Ministry offering her body as living sacrifice, allowing God to manifest his presence in the assembly of the His children. ÂI beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. Romans 12:1
In January 2003 Tracey accepted the call to preach the unchanging Word of God. September 21, 2003, Tracey preached her trial sermon titled ÂA Call to Reveal, Repent and Return This message not only called you to let the truth be told, but ultimately establishing an intimate relationship with Jesus Christ.
October 2003, Tracey was licensed to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ. October 2005, Tracey will be in her 2nd year studies at the NJ Annual Conference Ministerial Institute for the AME Church preparing for her ordination. She look forward to greater things the Lord will do in the midst of her. For truly, ÂEye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him. 1 Corinthians 2:9
