Tracey's Story
Life
Tracey Washington Bagley was born in Queens, New York. Tracey grew up in Queens and Long Island. She is a graduate of Ohio University and Uniondale High School.
She began her broadcast career in college at Ohio University in Athens, Ohio. While attending the university, she was appointed the Minority Affairs Producer/Director for WOUB radio/tv stations. She also worked as a news reporter and talk show host for WOUB and Associated Press.
In 1985 Tracey received her Bachelor of Science degree in Communications and Business Management. She landed her first job in television that same year as a Master Control Engineer at the Public Broadcasting station, WXXI in Rochester, New York. A year later, she returned home to Long Island, landing a job as Sales Representative at WHLI/WKJY radio stations.
After realizing her true passion for newsgathering she joined the News 12 Long Island team. There she started as a camera assistant and worked her way up to ENG live truck operator, production assistant, writer and then eventually to a live morning news producer.

er for WPVI, the ABC television station in Philadelphia. It was there that her television career began to soar. As the creator and producer of the teen magazine show, Fast Forward, Tracey won 6 Mid-Atlantic Emmys For Outstanding Children's Television Series and for the Outstanding Public Affairs Special, Children First.
In 1999, channel 7/ WABC hired Tracey to produce New York Non-Stop, a Saturday night show with Eyewitness News Anchor, Roz Abrams. She also produced WABCs first McDonald's Gospelfest endorsed by Mayor Rudolph Gulliani and produced the "Operation Save A Life" special with Bill Ritter & Sandra Bookman.
A year later, after relocating to Houston, Texas, Tracey produced several projects including Buena Vista's Debra Duncan Show and later ABC's, Houston Medical, a reality ER mini-series.
Presently, Ms. Bagley is the coordinating producer for Gil Noble's show, "Like It Is" at WABC. She lives in Manhattan with her Nana and 12 year old daughter, Danielle. In her spare time she is a Girl Scout leader and is on the board of directors for the youth gospel group, Long Island Voices.
