Traci's Story
After saying my final goodbyes to my closest friends in El Paso Texas, I found myself on the doorsteps of SRD (my dormitory) in Austin Texas. I attended the University of Texas and had a blast. I majored in Zoology, joined the Texas Orange Jackets, sang the 'Eyes of Texas" on the field that glorious day, Ricky Williams ran for his record crashing touchdown (still have grass from the field), reunited with old friends and met many new ones. to The University of Texas in San Antonio Medical School. I also met Ross, now my husband of 8 years. When I finished medical school in 2004, we moved to Denver, Colorado for my general surgery residency. During my 7 years in Denver, we had two children, Spencer (now 4) and Alexa (now 2). After finishing my residency, which included 2 years of clinical research, we moved to Salt Lake City for my Vascular Surgery fellowship.....a long haul, but almost done with training, excited to begin the next chapter...To be continued....
