Tracy's Story
Life
I was born and raised in the Kendall/South Miami area. I had a brief life as a dancer and still today love to dance. After graduating high school, I moved to South Beach and worked for a small publisher. In 1997 I moved to Gainesville to finish school. I met my now husband Mark in 2001 and we had a baby boy in Sept. of 2002. We are in the process of building our first home and plan to eventually move to the mountains in either NC or out west.
College
My goodness... where to begin... Ummm... well after graduating in 1993, I started college right away that summer at the University of Miami. I hated every moment of it. I did not fit in. I was not wealthy and did not drive a BMW. I drove a 68 VW Ghia. I was offered a job I just could not pass up. In came the credit card offers and a new car. That pretty much kept me out of going to school full time because I had to work full time in order to pay my bills. So, after 9 years I finally finished my AA at Santa Fe CC in Gainesville, FL. I plan to transfer to UF and finish my BS in the college of Journalism and major in special event planning.

ys wanted to work for an advertising agency and all my work experience after high school has had some involvement with marketing/advertising/public relations. Group 5 & Associates is a full servce advertising agency. At Group 5 I am the media buyer for over 25 clients. While our clients are mostly local, we do handle some advertising for state entities such as the Dept. of Health and the Dept. of Children & Family Services with their KidCare Insurance and sexual violence prevention programs, etc. My job is utilize their budgets in the best way that will target their specific markets. I love dealing with the statistics of who watches or listens to what on what TV or radio station depending on their gender, location and age. Those numbers determine what kind of media and how much I will buy. I get to travel a lot when radio stations do radio remotes for my clients, but it does make me ineligible to win the prizes radio/TV stations give away. I also have my own business selling Mary Kay Cosmetics. Doing this allows me to get away from the every day hussle, relax and play with make-up and spa products. I also get to meet some really fabulous women too!
