Tracy's Story
Life
After high school, I went to Kennesaw College and graduated 12 years later. But during that time I got a great job at AT&T and have been working there ever since. They changed over to Lucent Technologies and that's where I met my husband. I got married last year (2000)to a wonderful guy -- no kids yet, but we're working on it. Got a cat named Lucy, though! My hobbies are cross-stitch, tennis, reading, television, music and movies. I look forward to hearing from some of you who may remember me from the old days. I wasn't a very outgoing person back then, but thank goodness I grew out of that.
School
High School should be the time of your life when you learn who you are and what you want your future to be. Unfortunately for me, I did not make the most of my high school years, but I wish I did. I was not much of a joiner but I had some choice friends that were very dear to me - Cheryl, Debra, Kris, Kim, Donna, Olivia, Hope. I guess high school for me was mostly full of regret. ure it all comes down to self-confidence. The positive outcome of all of this is that I made up for some this in college!
College
College was the most exciting time of my life. College was when I learned to have fun! Yes, I studied from time to time and after 12 long years I did actually receive a degree but the friends I made during that time were worth it. Being a Little Sister to the only social greek frat on campus was a blast and I made some great memories there. There are people I wish I could see today that I miss very much. If you read this and you remember me, please drop me a line. There's nothing like reconnecting with the past!
Workplace
I worked at AT&T/Lucent Technologies for a faithful and loyal 16 years only to be laid off in November of 2002. I worked my way up from switchboard operator to database administrator during that time and I'm very proud of my accomplishments. Now I'm job hunting for the first time since 1986 and I'm not enjoying it AT ALL. If any of you know anyone needing someone who's great at databases (especially Access) please let me know!
