Tracy's Story

Life At this stage of life, it seems I spend alot of time wondering about how I will finish things I would like to get done on my life's 'to do' list. I have been fortunate to travel fairly extensively, live overseas, work overseas, finish raising a son -(tied the tubes/blew the bridge out at 28 and never looked back) - and work at alot of different jobs that were necessary to support the 'music habit'. I am happy with what I accomplished in my chosen career, once again - music, but still have a few more chapters I'd like to write in 'that book'. My life now is starting to resemble a testament to extreme/forced life changes that continue to focus on stress reduction. I am part time in my current job, a safari tour guide, and am also starting a small business on the side. My son, is now 21, and pretty independent so I am 'done with that part' aside from the parental love and care that continues with any aged child. These days, a good tromp in the swamp and a night on the keyboards is the REAL DEAL. Hope to connect with alot of you by email. Workplace I took about a year off from High School before I plowed into college at University of Miami. I only spent a year there - at that time - I wasn't sure what area of the music business I wanted to work in but quickly decided performance and teaching was NOT for me. eloped a recording studio program but it wasn't available when I attended. I started traveling, started at the bottom in a studio in Warren, RI - (Normandy Sound) -pre-Beaver Brown/Eddie and the Cruisers years. During those years, the Beavers were spending the night in delapidated accomodations upstairs above the studio and all of us were working days accomodating regular clients while those guys were using the studio at night on spec living off of Dunkin' Donuts. Just after I left there, they landed the Eddie and the Cruisers deal. I went on the road with a couple of regional bands, came back to Florida, then went back to studio work again at Avalanche Recording in Denver. My tenure there was 4 years; I started my own production company and worked with local and regional acts, took over as Vice-PResident of Production there until 1989 then came back to Florida. I then worked as an independent multi-media consultant for a few years focusing my work mostly in radio. Currently, I work 'out of field' as a safari tour guide in the Everglades. Once in a while, I will sit in with a band or write. Left to do: have a whole album of contemporary classical music I have composed and need to 'throw in the can'. Strangely enough, after all the years of listening to rock, (and still LOVE the mania of playing it on stage), I have become a fairly die-hard country fan.
