Tracy's Story

Life i was born in marlboro cty.then i moved with my mom to dillon s.c. my mom was a drug addict and alcoholic so my brother and i were placed with our grandparents back in bennettsville. i went to school there until the end of the 9th grade and then i moved back with my mother in dillon s.c.. she had become sober & clean by this time. i finished school in dillon and got married in 1998. i met my husband at school in 1993. over time we had 3 children, 2 boys & 1 girl.not long after our 3rd child i decided to end the relationship due to infidelity on his part. we divorced in 2002 but i have been apart from him since 2001. i have not been involved in a serious relationship because i have been focusing on having the best relationship with my kids that i can and making sure i provide them with all the stability, love, & support i can give to them. they are very important in my life & in all i do or decide. their father is not very active in their life because he lives in another state so i try my best to be mom and dad for them. i certainly dont allow different men to be in my life to confuse them or upset what we have. i try to set a positive example for them, esp. my daughter. my desire is to get married again but only when the time is right and to someone i feel that god has for me and my children.alot has changed for me over the past several years. some good and some devastating but i have tried to use it all as a benefit to me in some way. ive learned that in all things you can use it to push you further or set you back. ive also learned how to forgive. life is short. my father was murdered in 1996 & just 2 days before he died he asked me for forgivness and that was the 1st time i had truely ever forgiven him for not being there f...Expand for more
or me & my brother. he was in prison alot and i was angry at him and my mom for alot of reasons. but im glad that i forgave my dad and me & my mom now have a good relationship. my brother went to the military & has traveled all over the world. we also have a very good relationship. i am very active in my church and have been since my little girl was on her deathbed in 1998. she had a serious heart condition and was not suppose to live. i gave my life to god and she had open heart surgery and came home in 5 days. she has beaten all the dr.s ever said about her & is a happy, healthy child today. my long term goal is to go back to school when my kids get older to take psychology so i can help our troubled youth. i currently take care of 2 elderly people & i have done that for over five yrs.anyway i am curious as to how some of my old classmates turned out. i didnt forget you all. *******i have an update to my profile*****i now live in goose creek s.c..i will be getting married january 2007.i met a wonderful man in the navy and my 4yrs of being single is over.....lol.long awaited.********i have a little more news! i got married in January and my husband and i just bought our 1st new home! it was just built about 2mo ago and we are enjoying every minute of it. also i have 4 new additions.when i met my husband he was a single parent of 4 kids. thats one thing that caused me to fall in love with him.to be a single father raising 4 small kids is such a rare thing.anyway we are a blended family of a total of 9 now. i currently stay at home but my plans are to start school in jan 08 majoring in psychology. i am excited about all the things my new life is offering. being patient and waiting on Gods timing in all things has its reward for sure!
