Tracy's Story
School
After graduating from Virginia Tech in 1993, I attended the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and received the M.S. degree in 1995 and the Ph.D. in 1998. Both degrees were in Nutritional Sciences/Nutritional Biochemistry. From there I worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine in Hershey, PA, from 1998-2001.

o we moved in July of that year. Since that time, I have been working as an Assistant Professor of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the Indiana University School of Medicine-Evansville campus, teaching Medical Biochemistry to first year medical students and conducting basic research on topics ranging from protein supplements to cancer therapy. Since starting my own independent lab, I have published in journals such as Science, the Journal of Biological Chemistry and the American Journal of Physiology. My current work is funded by the American Institute for Cancer Research. I started on the tenure-track in July 2005.
