Tracy's Story
Life
Life in Santa Fe is most satisfying. I have reached a most comfortable spot that I hope won't change drastically any time soon. I have my incredible husband, a great roommate, our cats and a beautiful sunset every day.
I have found my birth family which has changed my whole life view. My mom is still in Nebraska married to a farmer. I have three half brothers, two of which are happy that they have an older sister. My closest brother is my younger brother Mitch. He has one son and two daughters - which, as an auntie, I dote on.
I haven't been able to have children and I don't think it's a wise idea at 40 to still try. The longest I've been with child is past three months. We name him Christohper Aaron. We buried him under a tall pine just outside our master bedroom window. And so, since I've had one more miscarriage. Hence, I dote on my nieces and nephews.
Diabetes sucks - although there are advances every year. I pray that there will be a wonderful breakthrough in my lifetime. I know more about my body that I really want to but, that's life :)
Life is Beautiful.
College
Well... I went to Merced College for a couple of semesters. My aim was Archaeology. I love the subject - blame Indiana Jones for that.
In the fall of 1999, I went back to college again. This time, it was here in Santa Fe - S...Expand for more
anta Fe Community College. It was a thoroughly wonderful experience. I really know my math now than I ever did before. But Algebra is just mystifiying to me still.
My goal was Southwestern Studies AA. I didn't make it as I got a little side tracked. I started getting into English classes than I didn't need like - The Bible as Literature - Classic Literature, etc. I couldn't help it - there is a bit of an academic in me somewhere.
I will go back again - but not to get a diploma - no, I will go back and take the classes that I desire; just because.
I started working for an attorney in January of 2008. It's actually quite interesting - another new journey in my life.
Life After the Economy
Warning: I am a hardcore leftist - yes I almost border on socialism.
America spoke and happy days, Obama is in office. MLK dream has become a wonderful reality!!
I have hope - that is all I can is hope.
So, heeding the call of the president, I will be going back to school. There are some very good incentives to becoming an RN and our community college has a program to become just that - RN. I am still young (well sometimes I don't feel like it). So here I go, another journey in life.
Chuck and I have reached the five year mark of marriage - and indeed, all things are going very well - I consider myself most blessed.
