I have been in Saint Louis since 1987. I met my husband, Eric, shortly after moving here. He was raised out West and grew up hiking, skiing and is/was totally the outdoors type. He took up kayaking in 1988. Once the kids were a little older, we too took up Kayaking around 1995. My son has paddled many class V Rivers all over the East and West. My daughter never pursued the sport like my son did.
As seasons change we turned our outdoor desire to snow sports. Our whole family ski/snowboards at our little ski area here in Saint Louis, we call it the HV (Hidden Valley) We travel out West in the winter months, and go often enough that we have season passes to Vail and some of the other ski areas in Color...Expand for more

Eric and I took up mountain biking around 2004. We have some great trails in Missouri!
Our local whitewater river is rain dependent, so most every Friday in the spring we pack our kayaks and the dog and we were off to the river for the weekend. Once our local river dries up, in June we start traveling to TN, GA, SC, MD and WV in search of whitewater!
... Then the cycle starts all over, time to break out the ski/snowboards! The kids turned out great too! Frank is a Respiratory Therapist and Mandy is a Hair Dresser and works part time as an aid at the same hospital as her brother. Frank got married on 10-10-10 and Mandy is planning here wedding next year in April, to be married on the beach in the Bahamas!
I have worked at Fabick Cat, a Caterpillar Dealer, which is a family owned business in Saint Louis, Missouri for the past 18 years. I love my job and the people I work with and for! Fabick is close to all my favorite activities, my favorite mountain bike trail the Chubb is only 22 minutes away and the HV, our ski area is on 5 minutes beyond that! Our local whitewater river is about and hour and 30 minutes from parking lot to put in!
So this is our life, and Life is Good!".
