Tracy's Story

Life I am currently 36 years old and have been a Registered Nurse for 14 years. I am married to the most wonderful man in the world, Jeff, who is my soul mate and best friend. We met in 1994 and were married in 1997. We have two beautiful girls. Gabrielle (Brie) who was born in 1998 and Victoria (Tori) who was born in 2001. We are a military family and have been lucky enough to live in many amazing places throughout the USA. We have just moved to Las Vegas, NV (2nd time we have lived here) and this time we have bought our dream home in North Las Vegas right by the mountains. It is a new home that was not quite finished, so we were able to add lots of extras to make it "ours". Currently our back yard is under construction with a pool, spa, 1/2 b-ball court and putting green. We can't wait to start entertaining!! School I went to school in the North Hills School District from 1st grade until December of my Junior year. My family then moved to Tulsa, OK where I attended Holland Hall College Prep School. Moving at that time of my life was extremely hard. I had a boyfriend, Chris S. and friends that I had know for a long time. It wasn't fun but what do they say??? what doesn't kill you makes you stronger??!! At the age of 16 EVERYTHING is a crisis!! College I attended the University of Oklahoma where i got my Bachelors in Psychology, then I went to Oklahoma State University in OKC and received my Bachelors in Nurse Science. I am currently working ...Expand for more
on my masters and hoping to go to medical school once my husband retires from the Air Force (4 more years). Workplace Since I was 16 years old I have done most of the "normal" jobs... sales person at The Gap and Payless Shoes, making pizzas at a Pizzaria, babysitting, Hostess at a Mexican Restaurant, Cashier at a Chinese Restaurant, I could go on and on... Since college, I have been working as a Registered Nurse for 14 years. I started out as a Trama/E.R. nurse, and have also worked with Home Health and Hospice. Most of the last 8 years I have been in management working as a Director of Nursing. Currently, I am working for Sierra Health as a supervisor in their Home Health division. Military I am married to an Officer in the U.S. Air Force. He recently pinned on the rank of Lt. Col. He has worked very hard and I am very proud of him. He has just started his new position as the Commander of the Aggressor Squadron at Nellis AFB, so I get the job of "Commanders Wife". This "job" comes with its own set of rules, but the part I love the most is all of the entertaining I get to do. We have a very large, open home that is perfect for parties!! But, on the other side... We have had our fair share of hardships. The first year we dated he was out of the country for 300 days in 2 month increments!! Then there is the obvious...the war, it has been hard on us all. We have lost many friends. I am blessed that my husband hasn't been overseas for a few years.
