Tracy's Story
Life
Born in San Diego, California. Moved to Georgia in 1979/1980.
I have two children, Jessica (1996) and Chad (1999). We reside in Sugar Hill. I currently work in downtown Atlanta at Georgia-Pacific. I hope everyone is doing great!
School
I attended Sequoyah HS (DeKalb Co.) from 8th to 11th grade. My family moved to Gwinnett Co. in 1983 and I attended Berkmar HS, where I graduated.
After HS, I attended Gwinnett Tech (Medical Assisting). Started in that field and discovered I have a more artistic side -- graphic arts/layout/design. Attended key courses at Portfolio Center as well as several courses at New Horizons. Nope, I'm not a college graduate! But I'm doing just fine.
Workplace
I began my work career at Aubrey Daniels International, where I started as a ...Expand for more
receptionist. During my 13 years there, I discovered/developed other talents I had in graphic arts/event planning and later left my roll as Executive Production to take a promising position as a Communications Production Coordinator at the headquarters of Allied Holdings. Due to layoffs, I then took a position as a Sales/Marketing Coordinator with a new company, ForestExpress. Thanks to 9/11, another layoff entered my work life and I found myself searching for another career opportunity. I found a position as a Contractor/Training Coordinator at Georgia-Pacific Corp. After being in that role for 2.5 years, I accepted a full-time position in their Talent Development Dept., then in their MBM Capability Dept. I love the work I do, the people I work with and the company I work for.
