Travis's Story
Life
What a trip. Long story short. Here goes. Moved to Lake in '76. Only born with 2 things: ADHD and the drive to be famous through music. Ms. LaRock at Hillcrest was the first teacher to realize my dream.
Growing up, not the popular kid in school. Got in a lot of fights and trouble. Got handed off to the Foster Care system and became a ward of the State at the age of 11. Moved all over Washington to different foster homes, group homes and various institutions. Never did get to see home again... All because they wouldn't medicate me for the ADHD. They just said I had "behavioural problems"...
Finally got to come back L.S. for what was to be my Sophomore year. Lived at Tonya Fazil's Mom's house. She ran a foster home out on S. Lk. Stevens road. I was so excited to go back to school with people I had grown up with, instead ...Expand for more
I got to come back to a bunch of D-bags that would bigtime you and act like they never knew you. These people never knew what it was like to miss "home". Issues? Sure. They make great songs.
Been homeless, lived in newspaper boxes...payed some serious dues. But through all the b.s., I never lost sight of the dream. On my birthday in 1997, I inked a multi-million dollar record contract with Capitol Records for my band, Second Coming. Toured most of the world, drank with Lemmy, played with Lenny Kravitz, bish slapped Sully Erna, dove drunk in Rockefeller Plaza fountain, been on MTV, played in front of hundreds of thousands of people at a time and still just keeps on rollin'. It never stops. But I NEVER forget where I came from. My publishing company's name is Lake Stevens Music. I NEVER forget. Go Vikings. Check out myspace.
