Trena Walker:

CLASS OF 1991
Naples, NY

Trena's Story

Life My life really started in Naples. I was a teenage mom, but was never looked at any different by my classmates, and if I was, they never told me. I thought that being a teenage mom the with my first child was rough, but the second time was devastating. I probably wouldnt have made it without the support of my peers, teachers, etc. I would have to give props to Mr. Moesch, my Spanish teacher and basketball coach, Mr. Arnold for coming to my house to check on me when I didnt show up to school; The school nurse for calling me out when she knew better; Mr. Salter for demanding more when he knew I could give it; Adam Baader for always making me smile; Mike Feaster for teaching me "taking care of bidness...every day!!"; and any Tom, Dick, or Harry, who watched my boys while I playe...Expand for more
d basketball (smile). Two of my closest friends were Melissa Fargnoli and Kathy Hunter who supported me emotionally until the day I walked the stage. I had come to depend on my entire graduating class, and they all came through. I went on to marry my sons' father and have 2 more children. I finished my bachelors and moved to South Carolina with my brother. My studies have landed me in Florida where I am attempting my life dream, the one everyone said I couldnt accomplish due to having kids..attending law school. I'm a couple years behind the rest, but my graduating class showed me that I could accomplish anything if I only put my mind to it. I owe part of my success to a group of people who knew no boundaries to caring, and the rest to myself for believing. I miss you guys!!
