Trinda's Story
I couldn't leave IL fast enough! After a couple years of finding Millikin not to be the "Music School" it was cracked up to be, I got married, moved to CA, had 4 kids - Boy-1982, Girl-1983, Boy-1987, Girl-1989. (ALL WONDERFUL, LOVING,CARING UNIQUE INDIVIDUALS THAT I WOULD NOT CHANGE FOR THE WORLD.) Must have lost my mind, though, and moved back for awhile, got a divorce-1990 (after 10 yrs of marriage) Started machining and sheet metal work and found myself writing songs alot more. Nowhere to sing them. Tried the Marriage thing again. 3 years for that one. Made a CD album. A little local performing.
Moved to St. Louis area to work in the aerospace industry along with BF of that era. (Jobs becoming scarce in Decatur) Barely escaped that relationship with my life -quite literally. Fought to balance raising four kids and work full time, and still stay stateside of the looney bin. Not sure how much luck I had there. I think the jury's still out.
Finally, my four beautiful children becoming more and more adult, and one by one going their own way, I am again, remarried, with three, very handsome "just like their father, of course", step-sons one...Expand for more
just out of high school, and the other two just getting started.
Still writing and singing, my best friends are my classical accoustic and my twelve string electric guitars.
My two sons carry on my dream playing in their bands. The oldest plays mostly rythym and a little lead, likes to write song and lyric, the youngest plays a mean lead, but prefers Bass in Metal and Alternative bands (where he can really work the bass) he prefers to write music more than lyric, but can sing almost anything.
My oldest daughter is livng her dream, being a mother of 4 and homemaker. Making plenty of time to get out and enjoy camping watersport and paintball. (kids too, as they get old enough)
And my baby, trying to stay just that, still working on finishing school after a couple years of unfortunate health issues taking her by suprise her sophmore year. She's all better now, and just enjoyng being a teen. She loves to sing, but battles shyness. never really took interest in any instrument. Her greatest love is kids, and likes fulltime in-home nanny-type work. Expect someday she will find her nitch in childcare somehow. (nurse, nanny, daycare, or just Mommy)
