Tristina's Story
Life
Well.....10 years has gone by and we're coming up on a 20 year reunion....that's so crazy!! I'm still living in southern Calif with my husband of almost 11 years and our dog (just as long). But that is about to change; we're selling our home here in Orange County and moving to Denver, CO where all my family has migrated. The last 10 years has been a lot of downs but definitely more ups. I've gone thru some college (AA-whoopee), am a certified phlebotomist, but have been a housewife for the last couple of years. My husband, his name is Brett, and I became Christians within the last 5-6 years (him 1 year b4 me) and our life took on a whole new meaning. Although we decided not to have children of our own, we are very involved with youth ministries at our church. We're not bible thumpers but definitely have a heart for the Lord. We have been involved with Jr. High and High school ministries for almost 3 years. It was nursery and elementry (that doesn't look right) for 2 years b4 that. It is nice knowing I can send the kids back to their parents, I get the fun and crazy side of them. Brett rides for a Christian motorcycle club that keeps him pretty busy. I don't ride much anymore...mostly cuz I don't like the Harley my hubby bought. Once we move to Colorado, he's gonna chop that bike out and buy a Road King so I can ride with him again. sittin on the back seat and chillin'. Brett's club name is Ratchet and once you've all met him, you'll know why...he's just got soooooooo much to say...do I dare say that the only times he shuts up is when he's really interested in a t.v. show or he's sleeping, other than that...talk, talk, talk. Ladies, there is not lack of communication in my marriage :) I am often referred to as Rattles in the club due to the fact that my mouth seems to just rattle on sometimes but just doesn't make much sense. I just don't understand how that can be!! I've only been back to Oroville a handful of times since leaving almost 16 years ago, but it's nice when I do visit. I've bumped into a friend here and there, one memory of an old classmate left me with a foul taste in my mouth, but what can I say to someone who is falling down drunk and tryin to pick a fight...what was her problem anyway? Oh well!! I'm getting excited about the reunion but you know what that means....diets and lots of working out. Yeah..I've gained a pound or two or three or alright...it's a lil bit more than that but I'm hoping to impress myself by the time the party rolls around..I'm not that far gone. For anyone who reads this, make the arrangements to go to the reunion, it will be a freakin ton of fun. I won't be dancing on any tables but...well, I might!! Until then, be good....and God Bless!!
