Troy's Story
Upon graduating from Johnston High School in 1990, I attended and wrestled at Buena Vista College. I taught Social Studies at Iowa City West High School for 15 Years, coached wrestling and girls' soccer, while acquiring my M.A. at the University of Iowa. I had an epiphany in 1997 and made Jesus Christ my Lord and putting what had become a very rebellious lifestyle behind me.
I married a wonderful woman in 2001 and had a beautiful daughter in 2002. se and was no longer able to teach or coach and went on disability this past year (2008), but God's grace is sufficient for me (2 Cor. 12:9-10) ande I a wonderful God, wife, and child have given me plenty of happiness.
Upon suggestion from my pastor's wife, I wrote an autobiography. It is in its final stages of editing anf will hopefullty be available by Thanksgiving (assuming my wife lets me expose family matters to the public). If she gives me the approval, anybody can order it at anny will be able to ordered it from any major bookstore, on Amazon.com or Borders.com. It is called "Growing Up" and will be self-titled.
