Troy's Story
It is truly is astonishing that twenty years has elapsed since we have graduated from our beloved Sunnyside high school. It seems just like a minute ago, I was playing baseball, going to all the big parties, cursing the avenue and chasing the foreign exchange student around campus. Since then I have gone to two Wars, seen over three dozen countries, saved three lives from imminent death while in combat, been shot at more times then I want to count, got married to a beautiful Croatian woman, had a little girl (Sasha) which is now eleven and learned how to golf play so well that IâÂÂm want to try out next year for the all Army Team. âÂÂ(I think I need a little break now)âÂÂ
While in the Military service, I have served my country honorably during the past sixteen years, five months and twenty two days, (and yes IâÂÂm counting). My next goal is to complete twenty years of active service, after that IâÂÂm going to retire and enjoy the rest of my life with some golf or maybe just sipping some margaritas b...Expand for more
y my pool. Since IâÂÂm sure I will be totally bored after about three or four months of drinking margaritas and being retired, I have made plans to open my own golf store here in El Paso, Texas. Before I can open my own store I will need to take care of a few things that are coming up in the near future. First, I will be going to Korea for a short tour in July of this year. Secondly, when I return for Korea I am going to Phoenix, Arizona to become a certified PGA professional trainer, so as to be able to coach my new customers.
Finally, If you are ever in the El Paso area please consider looking me up, the margaritas are on me and if you are a golfer be sure to bring your clubs and your (A) game because the golfing here is amazing. You know looking back at everything in my life I truly wish I could have made it to one of our High School Reunions, but IâÂÂm sure you understand that duty calls. So until we meet again please be safe and always remember that people come and go, but true friendship is for life.
